I have noticed these requests for a few weeks now, just wondering if these are spamcheck bots, humans at google checking my site, etc.
IPs are definately in google IP Ranges, including 72.14.194.x and others. UserAgent is a recent Firefox valid agent.
At first, I thought it was someone looking at my site through Google Web Accelerator. However, looking closely, it has bot-type behavior (not requesting images, etc) and it gives itself away by requesting a page a few seconds after a valid Googlebot IP with valid Googlebot UA requests it.
Should I feed him the optimized page, landing page or no page? I'm getting quite concerned this is a human editor in google trying to ban my site.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
