Attention All KloakIt Users:

It has come to my attention that there is a bug in KloakIt version 3.5041 (the version which was current previous to today's update), which will make it so the patching system fails to notify you of the available update. However, there is an easy workaround...

  1. Log in to your KloakIt Control Panel, as normal. Enter your password, if necessary. You will not see a patch message. However, there is a patch available.

  2. Close your browser's window and open a new one. Type your KloakIt Control Panel's URL again, but this time add "?update" to the end of it, so it will look something like this:

    http://www.yourdomain.com/control.cgi?update

    Then press [Enter] to make your browser go to that address. KloakIt will then update itself.
This patching error is being corrected as part of version 3.5042. Here is a complete list of what this patch does:

  • Fixes bug which caused any custom added IPs to be removed from lists if they were not on the master lists, even when you had your options set to keep them from being removed.
  • Fixes bug which could have caused some cloaked pages to become invisible to the control panel on certain servers.
  • Fixes bug causing the program updating/patching program to fail to notify you of updates.
